Bee Removal & Rehoming Services
Bee Removal & Rehoming Services in North Wales
At Mêl Llŷn, we specialise in the safe and humane removal of honey bee nests from both residential and commercial properties across North Wales. Whether you’re dealing with a nest in a hard-to-reach area or a large colony in need of a new home, our experienced beekeeper is here to help.
Why not just kill them?
In the UK, rehoming bees is prioritised over extermination due to their critical role in pollination, biodiversity, and agriculture. Regulatory and ethical guidelines encourage non-lethal methods to protect these beneficial insects, aligning with the UK’s environmental policies. Bees contribute significantly to ecosystems, and extermination can harm other species and the environment. Rehoming ensures sustainability, supports local beekeeping, and complies with pest control regulations that advocate humane and eco-friendly practices.
Our Process
Each bee removal service is unique, and some cases may require a thorough site survey to assess the situation and determine the best course of action. For more complex removals, we’ll arrange an initial site visit to evaluate the specific needs of your property and provide a tailored solution.
To discuss your situation, give Robert a Call 07827 291337. We’ll be happy to guide you through the process and arrange a survey if necessary.
Pricing
As a small, dedicated company, our availability is limited, so we recommend contacting us as soon as possible to secure a visit. We will initially conduct a survey and provide you with a detailed quotation for the complete removal service and we may either remove the same day or for more complex situations will require further visits.
Why Choose Us?
Insured: Our work is covered, giving you peace of mind throughout the process. We can also provide a copy of our risk assessment and method statement upon request.
Chemical-Free Approach: We never use harmful chemicals or pesticides. Our method focuses on safely gathering the queen and as many bees as possible, relocating them to one of our own apiaries. There, they can continue to pollinate and thrive in a safe, supportive environment.
